Widely travelled scholar and musician, Dr. Jung-A Lee, will perform at the MUSON Centre on June 22 at a concert to introduce an Infinity series organ, the latest in technology and sound from Rodgers Instruments.
The Infinity series 361 is a three-manual organ manufactured by Rodgers instruments, an organ manufacturer based in Oregon, the United States of America.
“The sound of Infinity Series organs is simply glorious. The specification spans various tonal genres, providing extraordinary musical expressiveness and versatility.
Rodgers’ unique sampling process with up to eight microphones captures the most detailed, authentic pipe organ sounds ever. With state-of-the-art Dimensional Sound Placement technology, the distribution of the sound creates an unprecedented level of realism,” organisers of the concert say in a statement.
Lee has performed in Europe, North America, and Asia as an organist, pianist and conductor. She currently works as an organist at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, an adjunct professor at Vanguard University, and accompanist for the Men in Blaque Choir at ''University of California'', Irvine.
In April 2009, she founded Music Mission International in order to promote organ music. She is the chairman of the non-profit organisation with 12 board members.
Her profile further states, “Lee gives about 70 concerts throughout the year as a concert organist and a collaborative pianist. She gave solo organ recitals in many venues, including the Cadet Chapel at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY; Woolsey Hall at Yale University; The Memorial Church and Busch Hall at Harvard University, Methuen Music Hall in Massachusetts; Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa, California; Crystal Cathedral, Garden Grove, CA, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, CA, the First Congregational Church in Los Angeles, CA and several churches in Germany.”
