Nigerian youngster Johnson seals new Brazilian deal

Johnson
Nigerian youngster, Ayo Johnson, has signed a four-month contract with third division Brazilian side União Suzano Atlético Clube from Clube Atlético Lençoense.
The 19-year-old’s contract in USAC ends in December but is renewable depending on his performance.
Johnson has been in Brazil since 2009 and has gradually made his way through the highly-competitive Brazilian leagues.
But the player had set his sights on a move to Europe before USAC officials came calling.
“I feel good joining USAC but I was thinking of playing in Europe. Something happened to my agent and I decided to move to USAC. But I will give my best at USAC because they are an ambitious club,” the former Pepsi Academy player said.
The talented player, who can play as a defensive midfielder or right-back, joined AD Brasileirinho in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2010. He also played for Sports Club Gethsemane in 2011 before he joined Clube Atlético Lençoense in 2012.
He said he is due to play in Europe after spending five years in the South American country.
“I want to move to Europe because I have learnt two styles of playing football; the African style and the Brazilian style. If I move to Europe now, I will be able to express myself better and play fine football,” he added.
