African Fashion Ambassador, Lexy Mojo Eyes, President/CEO of Legendary Gold Limited has been invited to Australia to address the International Fashion Incubators Conference holding in Perth, Australia from 11th – 13th September, 2011.
Lexy is among over 20 fashion leaders from around the world invited to Australia to speak at this international fashion conference.
Some of the other speakers includes Susan Langdan, Executive Director, Toronto Fashion Incubator, Prof Karen Webster, Fashion Programme Director, RMIT University, Australia, Sheelagh Wright of Fashion University of the Creative Arts, Kent, Keechea Dixon of Gordon Dixon & Co, New York, Chandrima Chatterjee of the India Apparel Export Promotion Council, Tracy Kenedy, Dunedin Fashion Incubator, New Zealand etc.
Lexy Mojo Eyes will be speaking during the conference on behalf of the African continent. His topic of discuss is ‘How the African Fashion Industry works. Its shortfalls and opportunities’

Since he got appointed as the only African on the Board of Governors/Directors of the World Fashion Organization, he has been very busy promoting African fashion.
He was a Special Guest at the just concluded Ivory Coast Fashion Week where he addressed their workshop. From Australia, he will be going to Gaborone for the Botswana Fashion Week 14th – 18th where he is mentoring the Botswana Fashion Industry.
He is a guest at the Johannesburg, South African Fashion Week 23 rd– 25th September. Again on the 29th, September he will be addressing the African Foundation night of the Brooklyn Fashion Week, New York to be hosted by MTV.
Legendary Gold Limited organises annually the Nigeria Fashion Week, Nigeria Fashion Show, Nigeria Fashion Awards and Nigeria Model Awards.
Legendary Gold Limited co-ordinates Nigeria’s participation in the World Fashion Week, coming up in New York City later in the year with over 48 participating countries.
The Nigeria Fashion Week comes up between 16th – 19th November, 2011 and it will be welcoming local and international designers and top fashion personalities from around the world. They will be led by Paco De Jaimes, President of the World Fashion Week.
Legendary Gold Limited has been in the vanguard of promoting the Nigerian fashion and modelling industries. In its 18 years of operation, it has become the reference point in fashion and modelling in Nigeria.
The local edition of The Nigeria Fashion Show has been staged since 1997 in Lagos and Abuja.
The international editions started in 2000 in Paris and Milan in 2001. And since then, Nigeria Fashion Show has been staged annually in these two fashion capitals.

NGO Celebrates Nigeria creative Stars
Communication for Change recently celebrated leading acts in the Nigerian creative industry. The event which was the premiere of a new five-part documentary film series, featuring some of the best acts of Nigerian visual and performing arts in music and film sectors, was held in June 29 at the Silverbird Cinemas.
The series titled, RedHOT, serves as an exciting feature on selected veterans as well as an expose on the very bright, established and authoritatively budding talents in the country.
Filmed over a two-year period, the documentary is a description of the life and work of 17 amazing Nigerian artists, discovering their inspiration.
Renowned Nollywood actor and director, Stephanie Okereke was, along with other creative veteran painter and printmaker Bruce Onobrakpeya, painter Kainebi Osahenye, mixed media artist and scholar Nnenna Okore, top flight musician and photographer TY Bello, engaging dance groups such as Crown Troupe and the Society for the Performing Arts of Nigeria (SPAN).
Some exponents of the traditional Yoruba Oriki Oration, comedy entertainer Julius Agwu, as well as music producer, Cobehams Asuquo, veteran flutist Tee Mac, the talented female drummer Ara, and celebrated Nollywood directors Tunde Kelani, Izu Ojukwu, honored
